Additive manufacturing and advanced materials processing for the DoD (Sponsor: VRC Metal System)

This project initiates the development of simplified, intuitive robot programming methods specifically tailored for the wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) process, as well as techniques such as thermal and optical imaging to characterize layers in situ and create a digital twin of an additive part or repair.
